George Clooney's Surprisingly Modest Car Collection

Writer: TJ Editorial Team

George Clooney doesn’t have the garage you’d expect. No Ferraris, no Lamborghinis, nothing bought purely to sit under a cover and appreciate. For a man worth north of $500 million, his taste in cars is surprisingly human and is a mix of personal history, early-adopter instincts, and one very rare Porsche.

Here’s what he’s running.

1959 Chevrolet Corvette C1 Convertible

The crown jewel, and the one with actual meaning behind it. The Corvette was originally purchased by Clooney’s father, who bought it out of his love for George’s mother. George has been driving it ever since.

1993 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Speedster

This is the one collector’s pay attention to. Only around 930 of the 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Speedsters were ever produced making it genuinely rare. Clooney’s been spotted driving it around, and the car was even featured in W Magazine, photographed by Juergen Teller. A 3.6-litre flat-six, 247 horsepower, five-speed manual. It doesn’t need much more than that.

2008 Tesla Roadster Signature 100

Clooney was among the first to get behind the wheel of the original Tesla Roadster when it launched in 2008, a limited run of just 100 Signature editions, all sold out within a month. He later sold it, reportedly unimpressed with the reliability.

Tango T600

Easily the most unusual thing in the garage. The Tango is a tiny, narrow electric two-seater built by Commuter Cars, barely wider than a motorbike. Clooney picked one up as part of an early interest in electric vehicles, long before EVs were a mainstream conversation.

2012 Lexus LS 400

Every collection needs a car you just drive. Clooney picked up the Lexus reportedly so he could get around LA without attracting attention, the paparazzi caught him in it anyway.
